The case with stylised flambeau finials to the outset columns and canted angles, with foliate cast band to the base, a glazed top section housing a brightly feathered automaton singing bird amidst naturalistic foliage, the white enamel Roman dial with steel moon hands, alarm ring below, the twin barrel movement with silvered platform to the bimetallic balance with lever escapement, strike/repeat/alarm on bell to the backplate numbered 685, with going barrel musical automaton movement housed in the base, wound through the side and released at will via lever to the side, with two wires operating the bird above
