A French gilt and silvered brass striking carriage clock with hour and five minute repeat and alarm

The anglaise riche case with spiral columns and ripple galleries, the the two-tone gilt and silvered side panels cast in relief with military trophies of banners, shield and helmet within laurel wreaths, with silvered and gilt mask cast with trailing foliate scrolls and with opposing lion supporters to the off-white enamel Roman dial with Arabic five minutes and lobed chapter ring, blued hands, with alarm dial below, with hour repeat button to the top and five minute repeat button above the rear door, the twin barrel movement with silvered platform to the bimetallic balance with lever escapement, with rack-work planted on the backplate with strike/repeat/alarm on gong and numbered 1755; with original leather travel case and associated key
