An unusual French gilt-metal mounted alabaster petite sonnerie carriage clock with alarm

The rectangular case with alabaster panels to sides, rear door and top, with foliate cast borders and pierced spandrels, the side panels (crack to one corner) with ribbon and crossed trumpet mounts centred by roundels cast in low relief with an amorino playing a mandolin, the white enamel Roman dial with Arabic five minutes, pierced gilt-metal hands, signed HENRY CAPT GENÈVE, the twin barrel movement with bimetallic balance to the lever escapement, strike/repeat/alarm on two gongs to the backplate also with enamel alarm disc, with repeat stamp to the backplate and also to the underside of the case, both also numbered 13732, with strike selection lever to the base, also stamped Ed. CHARTIER PARIS beneath the base plate
