A French gilt and bronze-patinated brass striking and repeating carriage clock with calendar and alarm
last quarter 19th century
The anglaise case applied with gilt floral mounts, with deep arched and silvered mask to the gilt dial with recessed Roman dial with Arabic five minutes and plain centre, blued hands, with dials below for day of week, alarm and date, the twin barrel movement with silvered platform to the bimetallic balance with lever escapement, strike/repeat/alarm on gong to the backplate
