The anglaise style case with painted porcelain side panels depicting women in Turkish costume, one holding a platter of fruit and the other leaning against a vase, one signed L. Simmonnet, with plain gilt mask to the Roman dial with blued hands, the twin barrel movement with replaced platform lever escapement, strike/repeat on gong to the backplate stamped PATENT SURETY POLLER and numbered 499
