The anglaise riche case with Corinthian columns and enamel side panels, painted respectively with the figures of a lady and a gentleman in courtly Renaissance costume, with a castle in the background, the enamel dial bordered by scroll designs painted in white and gilt, with leaves in red and gold, with gilt Roman chapter ring and spade hands, the twin barrel movement with silvered platform to the bimetallic blance with lever escapement, strike/repeat on gong to the backplate numbered 763
