The case elaborately cast with amorini and with swags of flowers, the side panels painted with a fairy fishing and another chasing a butterfly, the top panel painted with a fairy with a captive butterfly, with cartouche panels around the base painted with trophies emblematic of music and love, with sliding glass to the rear, the dial with gilt Roman chapter ring and gilt spade hands, painted with fairies shooting colourful birds with a bow and arrow flanking the alarm ring, the twin barrel movement silvered platform to bimetallic balance with lever escapement, strike/repeat/alarm on gong to the backplate stamped for Drocourt and numbered 26385
