The case with foliate carved mouldings to the arched top, term mounts trailing flowers to the front and blind-fret doors to the sides, the gilt-brass dial with foliate spandrels to the silvered Roman chapter ring with retail signature W. GIBSON & CO. BELFAST, matted centre, with silvered chime/silent and regulation rings in the arch, the triple chain fusee movement with quarter chimes on four gongs and hour strike on further gong, stamped on the backplate for Winterhalder and Hofmeier
