The breakarch case with stepped top surmounted by a gilt-brass pineapple finial, with conforming finials to the angles, with fluted giult-brass columns flanking the front door, radiant mask panels to the sides, the inverted breakfront plinth with ripple frieze, on brass-capped bun feet, the brass dial with gilt foliate spandrels to the silvered Roman dial with matted centre, silvered rings to the arch for chime/silent, slow/fast and Westminster/Cambridge, the triple chain fusee movement with quarter chimes on eight bells or four gongs and hour strike on further gong
