The Malta views by Jones comprise three studies of fishing boats (mostly luzzu) and one of a row of buildings (the latter and one of the shipping studies in small format). Other subjects comprise boats on a dried pebble mooring probably in England or Wales and possibly also by Jones; two small unmounted studies by Jones of two fishermen or seamen on a quay and of the foredeck of a fishing boat; and 'The Seine and Shipping at Rouen' by Talbot, the negative for which is in the National Maritime Museum collection.
