Lot Essay

Calvert Jones and his wife, Anne, accompanied Christopher 'Kit' Talbot (Henry Talbot's young cousin) and his wife, Charlotte on a grand tour of the Mediterranean, beginning in November 1845. They arrived in Naples in April, 1846 and left there for Rome where they arrived in early May.
