Album containing thirty-four albumen prints, each approx. 6½ x 8½ in. or the reverse, titled in ink and numbered sequentially in pencil on mounts, red morocco, titled and ruled in gilt on front cover, g.e., sm. oblong 4to.

Lot Essay

Holland House was a Jacobean manor house, built for Lord Holland on an E-shaped plan with a loggia on the south front. It was set in its own large grounds, now Holland Park, London. The photographs show each of the four main façades, the entrance hall and staircase, the breakfast room, the china room, the print and map room, the west room, 'Allen's room', the journal room, the white parlour, the gilt room, the yellow and crimson drawing rooms, the library and inner library, the dining room, the blue bedroom, Lady Holland's sitting room and a painting by Reynolds.
