Twenty-nine albumen prints, the majority approx. 7¼ x 8¼ in. to approx. 8 x 10 in., one 3¼ x 10 in., one titled in ink on recto Native Chapel at Ambatonakanga after the close of the persecution, others titled in ink on verso Rock of Judgement, where sentence was pronounced, others titled on verso in ink or pencil Ambohipotsy with some nattive Christians looking at the Martyr's bones, Martyrs House, Faravohitra from the tombs on the north........, Faravohitra view within the enclosure which has been made since the martyrs suffered there...... and Selling the slaves.... Views in and around the capital, Antananarivo; Ambatomanga, the last major town before visitors arrived at the capital coming from the west coast, where foreign visitors were obliged to stay until the Queen gave permission to proceed to the capital; laying the foundation stone for of the first memorial church at Ambatonakanga, 19 January 1864; the native chapel there after the close of the persecution; Ambohipotsy, the place of execution of the first Christian martyrs; Isarotrafohy, the martyr's home; Faravohitra, where martyr's were burned; a slave market on the public road at Antananarivo, May 1863; men carrying a palanquin (filanjana) past a site of martyrdom; a missionary with native Christian and children; two studies of an Amontana tree; and a landscape with a Malagasy humped back cow.
