Four albums containing a total of approx. 850 photographs, albumen, gelatin silver, platinum and cyanotype prints, various sizes to 10 x 14 in., a few numbered in the negatives, two images of ships autographed on recto by members of the crew, variously mounted, the majority titled in ink on mounts, one with inscribed label Florence L. Briggs. Eatherington House. September 1885 mounted inside front cover, half morocco (worn and spines damaged), oblong 4to. (4)

Extensive personal albums documenting various aspects of Colonel Briggs' service with the Royal Fusiliers and comprising several group military portraits in England, Egypt, Pakistan, India and Spain; views in St. Petersburg and costume studies of Russian peasants, several views around Eatherington House; Indian views around Poona, Srinagar, Lucknow, Delhi and Kashmir including river scenes, architectural studies and Himalayan views; others around Quetta and Karachi, a group portrait of three chiefs of Baluchistan; and several amateur photographs including hunting images with the men and their wives standing on top of a dead elephant, picnic scenes and sporting images including several group portraits of polo teams.
