Portraits of craftsmen including several of potters, a man weaving and a wheel-maker; market scenes, a snake-charmer, musicians, sellers of earthenware, a shepherd; and views of The Golden Temple, Amritsar; Dahl Lake, Srinagar; Dalhousie and several river scenes.
Major A.C.J. Congreve was posted in India during the 1920s-30s and served with the Rifle Brigade.
