burlap covered, with black boot button eyes, remains of black stitched nose, mouth and claws, felt pads, standing on six-spoked metal wheels --24in. (61cm.) long, circa 1905 (lacks ears, repair patches to snout, split to shoulders, repair patches to back, overall wear); and a Steiff elephant on wheels, with pale blond mohair, black boot button eyes, white felt tusks, grey felt pads and button in ear, standing on blue panited wooden wheels --12in. (30.5cm.) long, circa 1913 (hole and split to trunk, left eye scratched, overall wear and loss of mohair)
