The first with slightly curved single-edged pattern-welded blade with a fuller along its back-edge on each side, the hilt encased in silver chased with foliage, and characteristic horn pommel carved and pierced with foliage, in wooden scabbard entirely covered in silver; the second with swelling single-edged blade, faceted brass collar with small guard, and horn hilt carved as a human hand grasping foliage, in later leather scabbard; the third of characteristic form, in original scabbard; the fourth with hilt and scabbard entirely covered in silver sheet decorated with filigree; the last with white metal mounted waisted hilt bound with plaited white metal wire, in original white metal scabbard
