A Large Moro Kris, And A Moro Barong
Both 19th Century
The first with waved double-edged blade cut with two fullers over most of its length on each side, cusped forte and gandja, and turned tapering ivory hilt (chipped) with deeply beaked oval pommel, in two-piece figured hardwood scabbard carved with foliage in relief and pierced with circular holes; the second with single-edged leaf-shaped blade, and wooden hilt partly covered in silver sheet with three twisted silver wire bands, and beaked hardwood pommel elaborately carved and pierced with foliage, in original two-piece figured hardwood scabbard (minor damage) with carved and pierced foliate throat
