The first with swelling head of hollow quatrefoil section, the shaft and petalled socket damascened in gold with panels containing flowering foliage; the second with hollow tapering blades each with a gold-damascened panel below a pierced finial, the handles each chiselled with a grotesque, its tails forming the aperture for the fingers; the last with three hinged double-edged blades each with a swivelling heavy ball finial
