The first with tapering hollow-ground blade, gilt-brass hilt comprising rococo shell-guard and quillons, the tips each formed as a dog's head, and grip cast and chased as a stag's fetlock and hoof, in black leather-covered scabbard with gilt-brass locket and chape cast and chased with rococo ornament; the second with cast and chased brass hilt including quillons with side-ring and ram's head terminals, in green velvet-covered scabbard with shaped locket and chape each cast and chased with foliage and grotesque masks; the last an electrotype and in the form of a Swiss 'Holbein' dagger, the hilt decorated with nymphs and satyrs, the scabbard decorated on each side with a dance of death
