With octagonal sighted barrel (fore-sight defective) cut with alternating wide and narrow grooves and retaining traces of blued finish, gold-lined touch-hole, bevelled lock with stud safety-catch, moulded lightly carved figured walnut full stock, the cheek-piece inlaid with a star in white and dark horn, behind the barrel tang an iron plate for a peep-sight, carved sliding patch-box cover, brass mounts, set trigger, iron sling mounts, horn fore-end cap, and original horn-tipped ramrod
