Converted from miquelet-lock, with rebrowned two-stage barrel retained by a slotted iron band, octagonal breech with four gold-lined maker's stamps, plain tang, signed and dated lock with stepped border, walnut full stock (fore-end tip damaged, finger-pad removed), 'Catalan' butt, iron mounts including faceted trigger-guard, iron butt-plate held by a reeded iron band secured by pins, and side-plate carrying a long faceted belt hook with pierced tip, and later horn-tipped ramrod
