The first with fluted barrel block numbered from '1' to '6' at the breeches, scroll engraved action and back-strap, the former signed on one side and engraved 'Improved Revolving Pistol' on the other, scroll engraved bar-hammer and trigger-guard (engraving worn), and figured walnut grips (reblued throughout, some pitting), Birmingham proof marks and later British Black Powder proof marks; the second with fluted barrel-block engraved with foliage at the muzzles, scroll engraved action, back-strap and trigger-guard, engraved bar-hammer, and chequered walnut grips (some minor pitting), Birmingham proof marks
