A Cased Pair Of 32-Bore Percussion Target Pistols

Converted from flintlock, with swamped octagonal sighted multigroove rifled barrels signed in gold, patent breeches each with gold line, engraved tangs each incorporating a back-sight and numbered respectively '1' and '2', signed flat bevelled locks engraved with foliage and a differing dragon on each tail, figured walnut half-stocks (one fore-end repaired), chequered butts with carved ebony pommels, case-hardened iron mounts engraved with neo-Classical decoration including side-plates and spurred trigger-guards, trigger-plates each with urn finial, and set triggers: in original brass-bound fitted case veneered in mahogany (minor losses and repairs), lined in tooled and gilt red and green morocco, and with accessories (some associated) including serial numbered bullet mould, the lid with shield-shaped brass escutcheon engraved with initials (indistinct)
