With straight single-edged hollow-ground blade double-edged towards the point, and with ricasso carrying on the right side a short turn-off pistol barrel, and on the left side with a pan and steel, brass guard comprising downturned scallop-shell and slender knuckle-guard with double central moulding, fluted domed cap pommel with button, and cowhorn grip with brass ferrules containing the lock mechanism and slotted respectively above and below for the central cock and trigger, Birmingham proof marks
