With tapering multigroove rifled octagonal sighted barrel, flat lock with engraved cock and chiselled details on the cock-spring and the shield to the pan, the former with brass fence cast in relief with a human face, sliding pan-cover with radially fluted brass release button, the domed brass wheel-cover engraved with a huntsman, a boar, a hind and a hound in a landscape and retaining faint traces of gilding, full stock carved in low relief over nearly all its surface with overlapping scales, and inlaid with engraved staghorn panels, fish-tail butt inlaid on each side with a double figure-eight design in staghorn lines, pierced iron trigger-guard, and iron-mounted ramrod
