A Fine Pair Of 38-Bore German Flintlock Holster Pistols

Reconverted from percussion, with swamped sighted barrels each signed in silver on the sighting flat and chiselled in relief throughout their length with rococo decoration on a punched and gilt ground, enclosing a recumbent stag on each breech, and stamped with three rectangular maker's marks, each lined with copper-gilt (Neue Stckel 7719 twice, and 654 once), chiselled and gilt tangs en suite and each fitted with two-leaf folding back-sights numbered '1' and '2' respectively, flat locks chiselled and gilt en suite, moulded figured walnut full stocks carved in relief with rococo decoration, full gilt-bronze mounts finely cast and chased in relief with further rococo decoration (some wear to gilding) involving hounds and deer, set triggers, horn fore-end caps, and original horn-tipped ramrods
