the iron beam supported by a barley-twist and turned column, the two copper pans with chains and iron support, mounted on a mahogany plinth base -- 22½in. (57.1cm.) wide, with four brass weights, 1 lb, 8 oz, 4 oz, and 2 oz, each stamped Imperial Standard, with proof marks for George IV, and further impressed oxom 1834
