A 19th-Century lacquered-brass 2-inch refracting telescope,
unsigned, the 33in. (84cm.) long body-tube with rack and pinion focusing, object glass dust cap and eyepiece screw-on protective shield, with two extension pieces, one eyepiece engraved on the surround Sun Glass Astronomical Eye Piece, the two tubes engraved No. 1 and No. 2, raised on a tapering pillar support and folding tripod stand, the cabriole legs terminating with inswept feet, contained in the original mahogany case -- 35in. (89cm.) long (some old damages to case)
