unsigned, probably French, for mining or similar purpose, with a pin-hole and bar-window sighting, vertical adjustment via tension spring, tapering staff mounting, the upper panel with ungraduated bubble level, contained in the original mahogany ase -- 11.5/8in. (29.8cm.) long
