signed on the stand R & J. BECK LONDON No. 19240, with rack and pinion coarse and micrometer fine focusing, double nose-piece, mechanical stage, sub-stage condenser and plano-concave mirror, the limb on compass joint, raised on a short tapering pillar support on the Y-shaped stand, with two eyepieces, three objectives including a 2th oil immersion, and a table of linear magnifying powers, contained in the original mahogany carrying case with brass swing handle -- 13in. (33cm.) high
