A late 19th-Century lacquered-brass compound binocular microscope,
signed on the horseshoe stand HENRY CROUCH LONDON NO. 1579, with rack and pinion coarse and micrometer fine focusing, prism, mechanical stage with circuit main stage with finely engraved scale, centering screws, sub-stage condenser and plano-concave mirror, with a part-filled case of accessories including 2in., ½in. (x2), th in. and 0th in. objectives by Henry Crouch, a Hartnack No. 9 immersion 2th in. objective, and five eyepieces and other items, bull's-eye condenser and second accessory case, in the original mahogany carrying case with swing brass handle and glazed door -- 21½in. (54.6cm.) high
