A well engineered exhibition standard model twin cylinder vertical reversing stationary engine,
built by H. Clarkson & Son with cylinders 1¾in. bore x 2in. stroke, inlet and exhaust manifolds with flanged joints and main stop valve, rear frame incorporated slipper type crosshead guides, handwheel, worm and quadrant operated Stephenson's link reverse with solid links, counterbalanced crankshaft, three main bearings, split brasses and wick type oil pots, eccentric driven mechanical lubricator and pipes, cast bed and disc flywheel, finished in maroon and polished brightwork, display base with hand railings and ebonised plinth -- 20½ x 20in.
