A finely engineered exhibition standard model of a twin cylinder compound vertical reversing stationary engine,
built by A. Bailey with brass bound wood lagged cylinders 1¼in. and 2in. bores x 1½in. stroke, draincocks and pipework, cylinder head pressure relief valves, studded stuffing boxers, main stop valve, rear frame incorporated slipper type crosshead guides, marine type big ends, hand wheel, worm and quadrant operated Stephenson's link reverse, mechanical lubricator, three main bearings and spoked flywheel, finished in green and polished brightwork, wood plinth and ebonised display base -- 21 x 17in. (53.3 x 43.2cm.)
