A decorative brass and blued steel model single cylinder four pillar beam engine,
built by Staines Bros, London with cylinder approx. ½in. bore x 2in. stroke, centrally mounted valve chest with separate steamways, studded stuffing boxes, parallel motion with shaped drop link bearings, pierced beam supported on four parallel columns, tapered connecting and eccentric rods, pierced crankshaft bearing trunnions and spoked flywheel mounted on a 'tank' with brass corner pieces and bun feet and engraved maker's plate -- 13¼ x 15in. (33.7 x 38.2cm.)
