A neat, small scale model of a single cylinder Grasshopper Beam Engine, designed by S. Owen,
built by W.K. Walsome, with mahogany lagged cylinder .7/8in. bore x ¾in. stroke, outward facing valve chest, barrelled connecting rod with marine type big end, rod driven feed pump, spoked flywheel and belt pulley, finished in green, red and polished brightwork, metal floor and wood base -- 6¼ x 8in. (15.8 x 20.3cm.)
