A model Stuart Major single cylinder beam pumping engine,
built by W. Dunderdale with brass bound mahogony lagged cylinder 1¾in. bore x 3¾in. stroke, cylinder head lubricator, centrally mounted inward facing valve chest, studded stuffing boxes, inlet pipe with main stop and governor valves, decorative parallel motion with gibbed and cottered drop links, rod driven feed pump, barrelled connecting rod with gibbed and cottered big and little ends, webbed, waisted crank, lift-off eccentric rod, rope and gear driven Watt-type governor and linkage and spoked flywheel, finished in green and polished brightwork, metal floor and wood plinth -- 15 x 18½in. (38 x 47cm.)
