A well engineered 2in. scale model of a Fowler Class BB1 Ploughing Engine,
built by B.T. Joyce with brazed copper boiler, built by R. Chambers stamped RC 993 with fittings including water gauge with glass protector, pressure gauge, safety, blower, injector, whistle and clack valves and washout plug; engine details include compound cylinders 1in. and 1½in. bores x 2in. stroke, LP cylinder with piston rod tail shaft guide, studded stuffing boxes, slipper type crosshead guides, footplate controlled draincocks and pipework, mechanical lubricator, Stephenson's link reverse, counterbalanced crankshaft, eccentric driven feed pump and bypass, two road speeds mounted outside the nornplates, gear drive to cable drum with dog clutch and dished spoked flywheel; chassis details include spoked, straked wheels, worm and roller chain steering, cable drum, cable and fairlead, footplate controlled damper, whistle, injector, tool and spud boxes, wooden footboards, motion drip tray and lamp irons, finished in black with yellow and red lining -- 23 x 44in. (58.5 x 111.8cm.). Boiler certificate valid to 02.06.99.
