An 18th Century carved and gilded portrait frame in the Louis XIV style, possibly French, with egg-and-spool at outer edge; outer scotia; the corners of the raised ogee moulding with anthemia, scrolling foliage and c-scrolls, flanked by scrolling foliage and flower-heads and cartouches with scallop shells running to cartouche with three flowers at top centre and to cartouches with anthemia at bottom and side centres; scotia; ogee with strapwork and foliage; fascia; cavetto to the sight edge - 57.3/8 x 39.3/8 x 6½ in. (145.7 x 100 x 16.5 cm.)
