Sir Joseph Hawley's Teddington held by his Trainer Alec Taylor with the Jockey Job Marson at Epsom

Bred by Mr. Tomlinson, Teddington by Orlando out of Miss Twickenham was purchased with his dam by Sir Joseph Hawley, who owned four Derby winners. At two in 1850, Teddington won two races including the Chesterfield Stakes at Newmarket and at 3, won a race at Newmarket before his victory as the favorite in the 1851 Derby at Epsom. He went on to win the 1852 Doncaster Cup and several other races at four and five, before being retired to stud.
