Lot Essay

Bred by Ogden Mills Phipps in 1976, Posse was by Forli out of In Hot Pursuit. In 1980, he won the Sussex Stakes at Goodwood and the St. James Palace Stakes at Ascot. He was also second in the Two Thousand Guineas in which Nureyev was disqualified.
