Letters and C.S.A. forms, two unused partly printed CSA passes, one intended for civilian using Central R.R., other is a 'Negro Passport' (a travel permit), undated letter to CSA Sec. of War asking confirmation of appointment of officers to the 14th Reg. of Louisiana Infantry (known as the 'Polish Brigade'), also four post-war letters (three from the U.S. Post Office, other from Adams Express of Wilmington, N.C.) regarding U.S. stamps lost or stolen from southern post offices during the Civil War (some seized by CSA, refused by postmaster then taken by Federal troops who took some, gave some away saying they were worthless, etc.), interesting collateral, fine-very fine lot
