Lot Essay

The Green Violin was played by Henning Christiansen at Fluxus concerts, the first of which took place at Galerie Dahlem in 1967. He played it again in 1969 with Beuys accompanying on piano at the Akademie der Kunste in Berlin and at a concert in Mnchengladbach.
