In the realm of Argentine contemporary painting, the work by Pablo Siquier is without doubt one of the most personal and formally rigorous. Siquier repetitively works with the idea of systematical progressions. Since 1993, the artist has produced black and white paintings that represent complex imaginary plans and shadows that create asymmetrical compositions. They appear to illustrate some sort of circuits or plan, however, the compositions simply allege to the disparities between European and American models of modernism.
