Boris Lacroix became a decorator following a career in a fashion house. From 1927 onward at the Socit des Artistes dcorateurs, he exhibited lamps, wall fixtures and chandeliers, and later worked in wood and duraluminium with Francis Jourdain and Jean Dunand. See Alastair Duncan, Art Nouveau and Art Deco Lighting, 1978, fig. 94 for an advertisement that includes several Lacroix lamps which were marketed by Damon's studio in Paris.
