AN OLD KINGDOM LIMESTONE RELIEF

With a partially preserved line of hieroglyphs in sunk relief along the top indicating that the deceased served as the "overseer of the two cool chambers of the Great House," below to the right a depiction, in thin raised relief, of the tomb owner, only his staff of authority and free arm are preserved, to the left a male figure, in profile to the right, in the attitude of censing the deceased, identified by an inscription as "His eldest, beloved son"
