A LATE PERIOD WOODEN CATAFALQUE FOR PA-SHERI-EN-AHMES

Representing one end of the funerary equipment, inscribed for Pa-sheri-en-ahmes, the son of the mistress of the house Ahmes-irdi-su, both supporting legs inscribed on the front and lateral sides with hieroglyphs invoking "Osiris Foremost of the Westerners" and "Isis the Great, the Mother of the God," with seven columns of text below, one to the left of a depiction of Isis, the inscriptions concentrating on her benefactions, including the wish "that she may bestow upon the deceased a beautiful burial and all that makes one's heart content"
