A BRONZE HELMET OF ETRUSCO-ITALIC TYPE
circa 1st century b.c.
Conical in form, the rim ornamented with a beaded and a rope border, a narrow band of incised herring-bone above, the brim with a crescentic band of incised oblique lines, the cast rosette knob supplemented in the back with an altar-shaped attachment from which extend two long duck-head finials, each side preserving two rivets and a hinge for attachment of the now-missing guards
