TWO ROMAN TERRACOTTA OIL LAMPS

One black-slipped with a small round nozzle and ring handle, the discus molded with a scene of Leda and the Swan, the swan on the left lifting his bill to kiss his lover, Leda on the right standing in profile to the left, her left arm lowered to assist him, an illegible workshop signature on the base; and one red-slipped with a voluted nozzle, a band of tongue around the discus, molded with a scene involving two figures and a dog, a man standing on the right holding the dog by its hind legs, before them another figure with his right hand holding a staff, his left arm lifted, an illegible workshop signature on the base
