Sicily, Syracuse (414-409 BC), Silver Dekadrachm by Euainetos, (the master of the shell), 42.84 gms., galloping quadriga left driven by charioteer, Nike flying above right crowning driver, in exergue cuirass, greaves, helmet and shield, rev. head of Artemis-Arethusa left, hair bound with corn ears and wearing earrings and necklace, scallop shell behind nape of her neck, city name above, four dolphins around (Gallatin FVIIA/18) (this specimen), well centered, with good metal, medium gray toning, appealing rare coin, extremely fine with original tickets
